Is it Time to Buy Smoky Mountain Real Estate for Investment

Thinking of purchasing  Gatlinburg Real Estate  or  Pigeon Forge Real Estate  for Investing in the Smokies?  One of the things to watch when you do, is the relative health of the local economy.  Strong numbers from local buisnesses mean people are coming to town, and when they do they need a place to stay!  Increases in tourism spending include overnight rental income from investment cabins!

A late-November study by the University of Tennessee shows gross sales in Amusement Parks, Attractions and Theme Parks in Pigeon Forge to be up over 2009 levels indicating forward movement in combatting the recession blues here in Sevier County!  These numbers are consistent with anecdoatal stories of filled-up shopping bags returning to the streets of Gatlinburg and traffic to the Parkway!  Historically, Sevier County has always been the last to be effected by economic downturns, and the first to pull out, so we’re taking this news as a positive step!
