A late-November study by the University of Tennessee shows gross sales in Amusement Parks, Attractions and Theme Parks in Pigeon Forge to be up over 2009 levels indicating forward movement in combatting the recession blues here in Sevier County! These numbers are consistent with anecdoatal stories of filled-up shopping bags returning to the streets of Gatlinburg and traffic to the Parkway! Historically, Sevier County has always been the last to be effected by economic downturns, and the first to pull out, so we're taking this news as a positive step!
